Dear Friends,

I sincerely believe that education is a right, like the right to have proper food or a roof over your head. Education should not only be just a right, but a passport to human development; it opens doors and expands opportunities and freedoms; it contributes to fostering peace, democracy and economic growth as well as improving health and reducing poverty.

I am Norene Copeland Miller, YOUR candidate for Hillsborough County School Board Candidate for District 7!

I have over 35 years of government experience in the human services and social services field. I absolutely believe in equal access and opportunity for all children in Hillsborough County, no matter what district. One of my goals will be to help improve high school dropout rates, as well as increasing educational support to improve the learning process for each child.

I truly believe that no child should be left behind. I have assisted several members in my community with advocating for individual education plans (IEP) for their children as well as promoting higher education.  I have also contributed to the formation of policy and procedures, serving in the past on the Head Start Policy Council where I have been awarded the Head Start Policy Council Leadership Award for advocating for children in open forums. I've also received the Outstanding Citizenship Award.

I want to earn YOUR vote on election day as YOUR District 7 School Board Representative because I am committed to helping to provide quality, basic education for all children, youth and adults.

I am the RIGHT candidate for education throughout Hillsborough County.
