Eakins reveals plan for leadership changes in Hillsborough school district
Hillsborough County Schools are about to see a major shake up among those at the top. Superintendent Jeff Eakins is accepting applications for 11 of 13 cabinet members’ jobs up and will eliminate two by July 1: the Chief Information and Technology officer and the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
It’s all part of a massive reorganization effort designed to empower schools and area superintendents, Eakins said. School board members will vote on the plan at their meeting April 12.
